ARTS FOR CHILDREN

During a time of budget cuts, VSA Iowa has brought the joy of participating in art back into the classroom! For over 20 years, VSAI has impacted the lives of over 200,000 children through the Arts For Children Program. This program consists of 20 professional artists with disabilities that provided in-school residences across Iowa. Students are enriched through hands-on experiences with music, painting, illustrating, stained glass, and various other art forms.

NEW VISIONS DANCE

VSA arts of Iowa is proud to have a New Vision Dance Group in Des Moines. New Vision Dance is for children and young adults, ages 6 and up, with disabilities who want to explore the art and joy of creative movement. Instructor Janice Baker teaches the class at her studio in Des Moines. Your dancer will learn about the world of dance through a variety of music and dance movements. This program provides the opportunity for individuals to express themselves in an exciting format, exercise, and bond with a positive peer group.
